VIDEO: Mack­er­el Fil­lets in Mediter­ranean Sauce

Dela­maris Mack­er­el Fil­lets are a treat for gourmets. You can eat them as an indi­vid­ual dish or serve them with pas­ta and oth­er side dish­es to cre­ate culi­nary delights. You can also use Dela­maris Mack­er­el Fil­lets with Lemon for extra freshness.

Ingredients

Delamaris Olive oil Mackerel

sun-dried tomatoes

dried chilli

cherry tomatoes

fresh basil sprig

chopped tomatoes

green olives

Instructions

Put a large pan on the stove, add olive oil and heat, then add chopped onion, celery stalk, garlic, sun-dried tomatoes and dried chilli, then simmer and stir.

Wash the cherry tomatoes, cut into quarters and add them and the sprig of basil to the pan, then cook for 5 minutes, stirring regularly.

Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for approximately 10 minutes until the sauce has thickened, stirring regularly, then add salt to taste and olives, and stir.

Put the mackerel fillets into the sauce, mix, then remove the pan from the stove. Sprinkle with fresh basil and serve with fresh bread.

Tips: This dish can be served as a cold or warm starter with fresh bread, and as a pasta dressing. It can also be served for breakfast with a fried egg. You can prepare the sauce in advance and freeze it for up to one month; once thaw, heat it thoroughly and serve with fish.
