VIDEO: Sar­dine Patties

The recipe for the Sar­dine Pat­ties was cre­at­ed by Jernej Kitchen. They’re a great addi­tion to your menu. The pat­ties should be approx­i­mate­ly 2 cm thick to be cooked more eas­i­ly. A great serv­ing tip is a burg­er. Toast a ham­burg­er bun, spread with cock­tail sauce (or may­on­naise). Add lay­ers of fresh let­tuce, a pota­to pat­ty with sar­dines with lemon, toma­to, onion, pick­les and sauce. You can add sev­er­al fresh herbs to the pat­ties, such as: corian­der, basil, oregano.

Ingredients

500 g

boiled potatoes

3 x 90 g

Delamaris Sardines with Lemon

1 handful

fresh parsley

1 komad

spring onion

1/2

chilli

1/2 žličice

ground red pepper

1/2 žličice

salt

1/2 žličice

pepper

1

egg

Instructions

Put the cooked potatoes and Sardines with Lemon into a bowl and mash well with a fork. Add the chopped fresh parsley, spring onion and ½ of chilli and ground red pepper, salt and pepper. Stir well, add the egg and shape into patties.

Put a saucepan on the stove and fry the patties in turns, each side for about 3–4 minutes.

Serve in a bun with sauce and vegetables or with fresh seasonal salad.
