Delamaris food products are manufactured in a high-tech building with a surface area of 7,200 square metres – the building provides new opportunities for further development and the continued production of Delamaris fish cans.

Having acquired a 100% shareholding of Delamaris, Pivka perutninarstvo, d. d. became the owner of Delamaris in December 2009. In that time, Delamaris’ production process took place on a leased land and the premises were in need of thorough renovation. The company, therefore, immediately started looking for solutions to build new facilities. The foundation stone of the new, modern building for fish processing and fish product manufacture was laid in 2013. The construction work was completed within just one year, in the autumn of 2014. The facility boasts production capacities of 100,000 cans a day, at the same time enabling further development, capacity increase, and addition of new products to the current range. The modern premises also provide excellent working conditions for employees. The total investment amounted to €6.4 million, of which 60% was accounted for by European grants.

The new facility is built under the highest standards in the fish industry and in line with all environmental and sustainability aspects of construction. It has been designed to enable further growth and capacity increase in the future, which is an excellent starting point to boost sales in the current market and enter new ones; this is assurance for Delamaris’ continued development and progress in the future.

By relocating the production and employees from Izola to Kal, Delamaris is also transferring knowledge and tradition, representing a good basis to continue the activity, which has a bright future ahead.
